Automated Guided Vehicle is a battery power-driven driverless mobile structure that navigates itself to provide a secure and affordable transportation solution by following a trail which may be viable or virtual. It primarily consists of prime movers for navigation and driving, control system, sensors and wireless communication for transmitting the material or components across multiple desired locations in workspace. AGVs offer benefits in terms of improved safety, accuracy and productivity and reduced labor and hence generate a faster work environment.
